Recruit for Indicorps

Indicorps is an organization with high standards for excellence that is run almost completely by volunteers. We are always looking for highly motivated and talented people to help us keep the organization innovative and operational.  The most important element of the Indicorps program is reaching out to Indian diaspora communities, in person, to start a conversation about the possibilities of engaging with India's progress in a refreshingly new way.

Wherever you are, and whenever you are in a crowd or community of people who have a relationship with India, simply letting people know that opportunities to serve India exist could lead to young people dedicating time to the progress of India's people.  To help with outreach, feel free to share fliers and other publicity material to help us spread the message of serving India.  If you'd like to get more involved, consider applying to be an Indicorps Representative for your area.

OUTREACH MATERIALS:

Please feel free to print the following flyers and post or place them where you believe they may be able to attract people interested in the Indicorps cause.

If you are able to help “get the word out” and raise awareness about the Indicorps program, please contact us for a volunteer packet so that you are equipped to answer questions about the program and our “service for the soul” philosophy.

Our success depends on the moral and voluntary support of people like you. We are grateful for any assistance you may be able to provide. Below is a sample email "blurb" that may help you spread the word. If you create material of your own design, forward it to info@indicorps.org and we will make it available for other volunteers.

Work on Innovative Grassroots Development Projects in India

Indicorps offers competitive fellowships for Indian-Americans interested in spending one to two years (Starting August 2006) on unique social service projects in India. Fellowships are designed as one-of-a-kind transformational experiences, emphasizing both public service and personal growth. Indicorps, an international non-profit organization with operations in the US, UK and India, will provide a stipend to 20 fellows who are willing to commit a minimum of one year to implement service projects established with partner organizations in India. This year, Indicorps is also offering opportunities to work on innovative independent projects through a "Grassroots Development Laboratory." All fellows will participate in a four-week orientation program, strengthen their understanding of India through regular workshops, and are actively supported by Indicorps and partner organizations. Prospective fellows must be of Indian origin with a college degree or five years equivalent work experience. Visit www.indicorps.org or email info@indicorps.org for more information.
